DecksDirect wanted to add fire tables to their product assortment but didn’t have a brand tied to their new Outdoor Living category so we created one.

We wanted to reinforce the idea of bringing the indoor pleasures to the outdoors—basically merging them together and that’s how we found MERGE Outdoors.

When MERGE Outdoors launched, I began working on a logo that would also incorporate a tagline for trademark purposes. My initial concept, "Come Together," captured the right sentiment but needed rewording for obvious reasons. We landed on "Let's Meet Outside" for its conversational, inviting tone.

Throwing Shade

MERGE Outdoors added a second product under the brand with the addition of pergolas. Following with the idea of indoor luxuries experienced outdoors, it just made sense for these pergolas to fall under the MERGE Outdoors umbrella. However, the logo needed to be altered slightly in order to brand the product.
