My team and I were asked to create a new white label brand that would focus on multipurpose products that can be used to build a deck and used to complete projects around the house. We ultimately came up with the name, StrongHome as it speaks to the quality of the products and how they strengthen your home/deck. With that name, we added the tagline, Quality Products, Finished Projects, to reinforce the idea of strength and quality.
What Was Needed
Once the brand name was officially approved, I was asked to create a logo. It was a fairly quick approval from leadership. I envisioned the letter H creating a house icon and to make it pop, I made the house a bright red.

Butyl Flashing Tape
Package Design
The first product to be introduced under the StrongHome brand, was butyl flashing tape also known as joist tape, which is often used to protect the framing of a deck but can also be used to protect the framing around doors, windows, or other rough openings. This high-quality butyl flashing tape protects against moisture damage, rot, mold, and mildew to make sure your project will last.
I was asked to create the packaging for the flashing tape to include the installation instructions, important notes, value props, specs, and the branding.
